I was born in Akhisar, an Aegean city, in 1963. I attended Izmir Bornova Anatolian High School.where I graduated from in 1981. Between 1981 and 1987, I was educated in Cerrahpasa Medical School of Istanbul University. Due to my interest in neurosurgery, I started training on neurosurgery at Bakirkoy State Hospital for Psychiatric and Neurological Diseases. I made my thesis on “C6 Rat Glioma Model” in 1998 and started working as a Neurosurgical Specialist in the same hospital. In 2003, I studied Spinal Endomicrodiscectomy with Prof. Lou in Zurich, Spital Zollingerberg. Until now, my surgical practices in Spinal Surgery made me experienced in this field. I got retired in January, 2013. Iam marieed and I have 2 children.

I have a medical office in Bakirkoy, Istanbul and I continue to operate my patients in private hospitals. I am a board member of the Organ, Tissue and Cell Transplant Society in Turkey. I have also been a member of Turkish Medical Association,Turkish Neurosurgical Society ,and the European Association for Neurosurgical Societies (EANS)
